Carol Kino, a personal friend and major art writer ( NY Times, WSJ, USC Annenberg / Getty Arts Journalism Fellow, http://carolkino.com/) is in the house. Carol Kino bravely initiated a direct conversation discussing her feelings and experiences growing up with an accent that doesn't fit in and the complex background behind it. Carol adds "Yes! And I forgot to mention that I've often had people imitate my accent back to me: English when I'm in America and America when I'm in England. Talk about inhibiting!
